Added Value Activity Classes

One of the seven areas of development in the Early Years Foundation Stage is Physical Development and here at the Fruit Tree Day Nursery we endeavor for the children to grow in this area as much as possible. As such, we have an array of exciting classes centered on movement and dance for the children to get involved in during their day at nursery.

We also teach an additional language which is French to familiarise the children with another language that is taught when they reach school age, this also opens them up to the world of diversity and appreciation for other cultures, we also introduce basic words in other languages when we have cultural diversity sessions so the children develop a sense of cultural awareness.

Ballet Dance – with the EOS Dance School

For several years, the Fruit Tree Day Nursery children have been treated to a fabulous ballet dance lesson by the dance teachers from the prestigious EOS Dance School, which has been established for over twenty years. The school was founded by our former Parent Liason who is also a close-friend of the nursery, and features ballet, street dance, and kids’ Zumba.

Introduction To – French

Miss Nicole our French national Montessori teacher will have a conversation with the children each day in French, she introduces herself then the children will reply by saying their name and introducing themselves in French. The children will say the days of the week, colours and numbers in French. Miss Nicole will read the children a story in French and ask the children about the book, this is done daily from 2.30pm – 3.00pm
